Capital Wave Water Polo
Capital Wave is an incorporated not-for-profit water polo club located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We offer water polo programs for athletes aged 6 to adult. Most of our revenue comes from membership fees. All members of the executive are volunteers and we pay only for pool rental, coaches, lifeguards, equipment, and a bookkeeper. An annual general meeting is held once per year to elect the new executive. Our constitution and bylaws provide the overall structure for the club.

Next Generation Hockey
Since 2002, we have been delivering programming across North America and Europe. Over the past eight years, our focus has been working year-round in the Ottawa region. Collectively, we have taught 60+ years, in 9 different countries, with an estimated 50,000 youth and adults. In this past year alone, we trained over 6,500 players — with skill sets ranging from beginner to professional. Ottawa’s baseball history dates as far back as 1898, when the Eastern League’s Ottawa Wanderers took the field in the nation’s capital, just 29 years after the British North American Act was adopted in 1867, creating the Dominion of Canada with 4 provinces; Quebec, Ontario, New Bruinswick and Nova Scotia.
The Wanderers transferred to Ottawa in the middle of the 1898 season from Rochester, NY. Their time in Ottawa was very brief as the team folded at the end of the season, but it opened the door for future clubs to find their way into Ottawa.
Ottawa West Ball Hockey League
The Ottawa West Ball Hockey League Inc. is a grass roots, non-profit organization dedicated to recreational ball hockey for children and youth. Our games are played in community arenas in the west end of Ottawa. The OWBHL was established in 1995 and is sanctioned by the Ontario Ball Hockey Association. The OWBHL enforces no residency boundary rules and attempts to accommodate registration throughout the region. The season consists of twenty games over ten weeks. Games are refereed and teams are coached but there are no practices.
